Lunchtime waste sorting to compost! Daily during lunchtime Come and see your kids at lunch AND help make a difference! D64 schools have compost and recycling bins at lunch time as part of their commitment to sustainability. We are looking for volunteers at lunch to make sure kids are properly sorting their food waste. There is a composting bin for any food waste and paper/cardboard. Recycling is for certain plastics, cardboard, empty milk and water bottles. Trash is for any other waste not applicable to the compost or recycling bin. Signs are posted to remind children what goes in what bin.
